‘Black Widow’ Set Photos Reveal New Look At Scarlett Johansson’s Return As Natasha Romanoff

Black Widow Scarlett Johansson Marvel StudiosNew photos from the set of Scarlett Johansson’s highly-anticipated Black Widow movie have surfaced online.

Production on Black Widow’s first cinematic solo outing is now underway in Norway. Earlier this week, Scarlett Johansson was spotted on the set of the set of the long-awaited movie, giving fans a first look at her return as Black Widow after the character’s death in the Marvel Studios team-up movie Avengers: Endgame.

More photos from the Black Widow set hit the web this morning, showing Scarlett Johansson filming a few scenes as Natasha Romanoff. You can check out the photos below.

The Black Widow film is expected to feature events before the character’s debut in Iron Man 2. The standalone film has the opportunity to explore the widow program, which would reveal the origin of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and how she became the formidable assassin she is today. In the comics, Natasha Romanoff was trained by The Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, who is played by Sebastian Stan in the films.

Directed by By Cate Shortland from a script written by Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh and O-T Fagbenle. The Favourite star Rachel Weisz is reportedly circling a “key role” in the film.

Disney's remake The Lion King is next in the studios' line-up of live-action retellings of their animated classics and now several new character posters for the film have been unveiled. These new posters for The Lion King may offer the best look yet at the photo-realistic versions of Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Scar, Timon, Pumbaa, Sarabi, young Simba, young Nala, Sarabi, Rafiki, and Zazu.

Here is the official synopsis for The Lion King:

Director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

Directed by Jon Favreau from a script written by Jeff Nathanson, The Lion Kingstars Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.

The Lion King will be released in theaters on July 19, 2019.
