Early Concept Art Reveals A Different Helmet For Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel

Avengers Endgame Brie Larson Captain Marvel

Avengers Endgame Brie Larson Captain MarvelIt seems that Captain Marvel underwent many changes in the early phases as new concept art shows Brie Larson’s character sporting an entirely different helmet then what we saw on screen.

The image in question came from one Andy Park who has worked as a concept artist for Marvel Studios since Captain America: The First Avenger and has done work for many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Among these was, of course, Captain Marvel. In the image, from Park’s official Twitter account, we see an entirely different design for Brie Larson’s helmet.

The original designs for the helmet allowed Captain Marvel’s hair to flow a bit more freely. The early designs also allowed a bit more of her face to be seen. According to Andy Park, this was before they even attempted the mohawk look.

What do you all make of this look? Was it better than the look that Brie Larson ultimately sported in Captain Marvel? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Mississipi Grind helmers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have directed from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. Here’s the official synopsis:

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg and Jude Law.

Captain Marvel is now available on Digital HD and will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD release on June 11.
