What is west of Westeros, Arya Stark asked in the Game of Thrones finale as she headed for desinations unknown. Among other things, Tinseltown. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister, and Jonathan Pryce, who played the High Sparrow, will head west in the pilot for FX's upcoming drama Gone Hollywood, according to Variety.
The series will follow a group of 1980-era talent agents who form their own agency and fly in the face of accepted practices, changing way movies are sold forever.
This will be Coster-Waldau's first TV project since HBO's Sunday night pheonomenon ended. He will next be seen in Brian De Palma's feature Domino, which hits theaters May 31. Coster-Waldau, who will be playing a character named Jack DeVoe, will be joined by Lola Kirke from Mozart in the Jungle and Gone Girl, who will play a character named Abbie Jinks. Taxi’s Judd Hirsch, most recently seen in Numb3rs, will play Lev Kertzman. The Umbrella Academy’s John Magaro is cast as Eli Zeller. Pryce will play Benny Landau. The pilot will also star Pride’s Ben Schnetzer as Schnetzer plays Robbie Riese. No other character information has been made is available. Potential recurring guest stars include Eric Lange (Escape at Dannemora), Nelson Franklin (black-ish), Sarah Ramos (Midnight, Texas), Jeremy Shamos (Nurse Jackie) and Peta Sergeant (The Originals).
The Gone Hollywood pilot was written and directed by Ted Griffin (Terriers, Ocean’s Eleven) who will be the showrunner and executive producer if it is picked up for series. It will be produced by Scott Rudin, (What We Do in the Shadows), Shawn Ryan (S.W.A.T.), and FX Productions.
No Gone Hollywood release date has been scheduled yet.
