During an interview with Screen Rant, Kingsman director and Rocketman producer Matthew Vaughn revealed he might be interested in directing a James Bond film if Richard Madden was cast as 007.
The 25th James Bond film is set to be Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 and although the project is still a year away from hitting theaters, fans are already proposing potential contenders to succeed Craig as the fictional British Secret Service agent. Among the rumored potential candidates for the role of James Bond is Rocketman star Richard Madden, although the actor himself recently show down the speculation. However, Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn revealed Richard Madden’s casting as the next 007 might entice him to helm a James Bond film:
“If Madden plays Bond, I’m maybe even interested in directing it.”

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga from a script written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the 25th James Bond stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.
James Bond 25 is scheduled to be released in theaters on 8, April 2020.
