Death is coming and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. John Rambo, who Sylvester Stallone discovered in the 1972 novel First Blood by David Morrell, has "lived in a world of death," and Rambo V intends to put an end to it. Rambo: Last Blood will be the fifth and final movie in the franchise and the trailer shows the military veteran is going out with a bang.
We last saw Stallone's John Rambo in 2008. He's gone from soldier to cowboy, living peacefully in a happy retirement since his last dispatches. "Now, Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission," reads the official synopsis. "A deadly journey of vengeance."
The trailer shows a haunted man who has to face new enemies and make new ghosts when one of Mexico’s most violent cartels kidnap the daughter of his caretaker Maria for a sex trafficking ring. "Rambo teams up with a journalist to track down and rescue a group of local girls that have been kidnapped by a Mexican sex trafficking ring, after trying to settle down to a quiet peaceful life stateside at the family ranch in Arizona after spending decades abroad," according to the film's official synopsis.
