Stranger Things 3 debuts this summer, but actor David Harbour has teased new details for his role in the upcoming Black Widow movie from Marvel.
David Harbour spoke at the London MCM Comic Con about Stranger Things, but he also talked a little about the upcoming Black Widow movie. He may have teased that he’ll be playing The Thing as he referred to his role as a “thing” in the upcoming MCU film, saying at the convention:
“I’m glad this thing is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
This sounds like a big hint at playing the popular Fantastic Four character. Marvel has yet to include any of the main Fantastic Four members in the Marvel Cinematic Universe lineup due to the rights being previously tied up at 20th Century Fox but it sounds like David Harbour could be our first look at the Fantastic Four coming to the MCU.
Cate Shortland (Lore) is directing the standalone film centered on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular female character played by Scarlett Johansson. Official plot details remain under wraps, however, the film is expected to spotlight events that occurred prior to the Scarlett Johannson’s debut as Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2. In the comics, Natasha Romanoff was trained by the Winter Soldier himself, Bucky Barnes played by Sebastian Stan in the films.
So what do you think? Would David Harbour be a good choice to play The Thing? Let us know in the comments below!
Here is the plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

Other known future projects from the studio include The Eternals which is being directed by Chloe Zhao from a script written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, and the Black Panther sequel that Ryan Coogler is returning to direct as well as write. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was originally set to begin production in early 2019 but was put on hold after James Gunn was removed from the franchise. With Gunn now back on board, the film is expected to go before the lens after he completes work on The Suicide Squad for Warner Bros. and DC Films.
David Harbour will next be seen when Stranger Things 3 hits Netflix on July 4. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we learn it.
